While one might live long and learn much, everything around you will move on and evolve. Think about it. You'll be lonely and eventually you will have done everything in existence that could possibly ever be done so, there is a good chance you'll be bored out of your mind.

If you are attractive and die in a year at least you will know you only have one year to live so you can spend all of your time out there making it the best short life you can lead.
